New Zealand White
The world's #1 commercial meat rabbit. Fast growth, excellent feed conversion and large litters. Docile and easy to handle.
Ask about New Zealand WhiteAt Vinfarm Solutions, rabbits are one of the enterprises on our integrated farm. We keep meat and dual-purpose breeds, sell weaners and breeding stock, and teach practical rabbit keeping.
Rabbits breed fast: pregnancy is only about 31 days, and a doe can raise 5–6 litters a year. Ten does, two bucks and their young fit in a small shed, and they eat forages, vegetable leaves and some pellets.
Rabbits give several products: meat rabbits at 2–2.5 kg live weight (10–14 weeks), breeding stock, urine (a biopesticide and foliar feed), manure and skins. They are quiet and clean, which suits peri-urban farms.
